The most important component of EAWLS is membership. Membership of the Society is open to all persons who support the objectives of the Society.
The East African Wild Life Society has grown from humble beginnings and ad hoc association of persons, to an institution that is globally recognized. The Society is made up of individuals and organizations, across the globe, proud to give something back to the environment. The various categories of membership are:
Individual: As the name suggests, this is suitable for individuals who find conservation a driving force and is sub-divided into categories of individual associate, individual regular and individual donor.
Corporate: For organisations that choose to play a part in conservation, and are sub-divided into corporate regular and corporate donor.

Donor: For individuals and organisations inclined to do that much more for conservation.
Benefactor (Guardian): For individuals and entities that have given exemplary support, financial or otherwise, to the society.
Honorary: Appointed by the Council for a period it sees fit and pay no membership fee.
Gift Membership: As the name suggests, this a gift from one friend to another. You enroll your friend and pay the fees and all the membership benefits go directly to your friend.
