The East African Wild Life Society

The Society was founded in 1961 when the Wildlife Societies of Tanzania and Kenya - both founded in 1956 - joined together with Uganda wildlife enthusiasts to form the East African Wild Life Society (EAWLS). For over forty (40) years, EAWLS has been at the forefront in the efforts for protecting endangered, rare or threatened species and habitats in East Africa. ...About Us

In order to realise this mission, EAWLS has been proactive in advocacy, facilitation of conservation education and awareness, promotion of conservation activities, and facilitation of field projects.
